House unveils $153B Labor-HHS appropriations bill: 3 key notes

House Republicans unveiled their new $152 billion Labor-HHS appropriations bill, which would defund the ACA and completely eliminate the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. A full committee is expected to vote on the bill today, reports JDSupra.com.

Here are three things to know:

1. The bill provides $31.2 billion to the National Institutes of Health, an increase of $1.1 billion, and more than President Obama requested by $100 million, according to the report.

2. The CDC would take a hit of about $344 million in funding, and would receive $7 billion.

3. The bill would cut roughly 9 percent from the administration's budget request for FY 2016.
