FAIR Health, an independent non-profit company, has launched its FH Ambulatory Surgery Center Benchmarks module. Here are five insights.
1. The new module was developed with more than five million claims for services performed in ASCs. IT also includes more than 2,500 procedure codes.
2. The benchmarks included in the tool, at the both state and national levels, will be updated twice each year.
3. The FH module can be used to anlyze cost trends. Payers and employer-sponsored health plans can also use the module to process out-of-network claims and inform both OON and in-network fee schedules.
4. The data also has the potential to advance healthcare price transparency.
