Erie Shriners Hospitals for Children ASC & Outpatient Specialty Care Center Hits Record Patient Volume in 2012

Erie (Pa.) Shriners Hospitals for Children Ambulatory Surgery Center and Outpatient Specialty Care Center announced it treated 14,560 outpatients last year, which set the record for the highest number of outpatients in its history, according to a report form the Erie Times-News.

The patients treated was the second most for outpatient care among Shriners facilities. The surgery center also reported the highest number of referred patients in its history, at 2,579. Erie Shriners changed the hospital to an outpatient and ambulatory surgery center last year, according to the report.

The facility treats patients with orthopedic and neuromuscular disorders and diseases.
