NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens and Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City added gynecologic oncologist David A. Fishman, MD, to its team.
Here are five notes:
1. Dr. Fishman all serve as cancer center director, vice chair of obstetrics and gynecology and director of gynecologic oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens.
2. He will also serve as a professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine.
3. Previously, Dr. Fishman served as director of gynecological oncology research and professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive science at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
4. Dr. Fishman’s clinical interests include the regulation of ovarian metastasis and risk assessment and detection of early-stage ovarian cancer.
5. Dr. Fishman earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and completed his residency at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. He underwent an obstetrics and gynecology fellowship and a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
