Mr. Gary is the former ASCA and ASCA Foundation board president and served as president and COO of Regent Surgical Health. He unexpectedly passed away last year before he was able to participate in ASCA’s annual meeting.
ASCA board members elected to name an award in Mr. Gary’s honor. Mr. Gary’s wife received the award on his behalf.
During his career, Mr. Gary was instrumental in leading early advocacy efforts for ASCA on Capitol Hill and spearheaded a partnership to establish the ASCA Foundation and Partners in Health, a non-profit global health organization providing healthcare to underprivileged populations around the world.
The ASCA Foundation will make a $5,000 contribution to PIH as part of the award.
