AmSurg acquisition & expansion plans, MFC dividend & more – 5 ASC company key notes

Here are five recent news updates on ambulatory surgery center companies.

Sheridan, now the physician services division of AmSurg, acquired the radiology services business Radisphere. "We give AmSurg and Sheridan great credit for their efforts to further strengthen and diversify the company," says Scott Becker, JD, CPA.

AmSurg signed a lease on 222,000 square feet in Sunrise, Fla. The company intends to move 167,000 square feet of its operations to the new location by September 2016. The company will then expand the location by 55,000 square feet by the following year.

Medical Facilities Corporation announced a cash pay dividend of $0.09375 per common share will be payable on Feb. 17.

Zacks has given Surgical Care Affiliates stock a neutral rating and set the stock price target at $37, according to a Dakota Financial News report.

Tenet Healthcare stock traded at $43.87 per share during the week of Jan. 19 to Jan. 23, down 2.47 percent.
