Surgery Partners valued at $1.25B
For its initial public offering, Surgery Partner is selling 14.3 million common shares. The company’s IPO is priced at $23 to $26 per share.

Adventist Health System to pay record-breaking $118.7M settlement
Adventist Health Systems, based in Altamonte Springs, Fla., agreed to pay the federal government and to the states of Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas $118.7 million to settle allegations the health system violated the False Claims Act by maintaining improper compensation arrangements with referring physicians.

Premier ASC project reconsidered in New York
The Premier Ambulatory Surgery Center project was delayed because of objections made by the TLC Health Network.  New York state officials are now reconsidering the project, led by husband and wife physicians Vishal Sharma, MD, and Nisha Sharma, MD.
