ASCA joins price transparency efforts.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, AARP, Aetna, Novo Nordisk and National Consumers League launched the Clear Choices Campaign. The Clear Choices Campaign focuses on brings together consumers, healthcare providers and industry stakeholders to advocate for price transparency and accountability.

Nobilis Health estimates $33M+ revenue for Q1 2015.
Nobilis Health announced its estimated revenue for the first quarter of 2015. The company expects revenues to between $33 million and $35 million, up from $12.1 million in the first quarter of 2014. Historically, the company has produced approximately 14 percent of its annual revenue in the first quarter of the year.

More than half of physicians want another ICD-10 delay.
Though a further delay of the ICD-10 transition seems unlikely, many physicians are still holding out hope. A study conducted by QuantiaMD has found 62 percent of physicians believe there should be another ICD-10 delay. Of those physicians calling for another delay, 53 percent think that the delay should be indefinite.

CMS proposes rule to shorten MU reporting to 90 days.
CMS released a proposed rule that would change reporting requirements for the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program to a 90-day period instead of the current one-year reporting period. The proposed rule seeks to better align current measures of meaningful use stage 1 and stage 2 with the proposed meaningful use stage 3 requirements. It also aims to reduce the burden and duplication of reporting requirements.

NAPA partners with Virginia Eye Institute.
North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) announced a new partnership with Virginia Eye Institute. The Richmond, Va.-based institute provides ophthalmology and ear, nose and throat surgical services to adult and pediatric patients and will have NAPA as their exclusive anesthesia provider.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center to build ASC.
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge is building a $40 million surgery center. When completed, the 90,000-square-foot surgery center will house nine operating rooms and include the possibility for two additional floors. The surgery center is expected to open in January

Ebola patient discharged from NIH facility.
The Ebola patient, who had been receiving care at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Special Clinical Studies Unit in Bethesda, Md., has made a full recovery and has been discharged. The patient was a health worker with an international aid group who contracted the Ebola virus while volunteering in Sierra Leone. He was admitted on March and was the 11th Ebola patient treated in the Unites States.
