4 Do's & 3 Don'ts of Transitioning to a Concierge Practice

Starting a brand new practice as a concierge physician or transitioning your current practice to concierge medicine is not easy, according to an American Academy of Private Physicians blog post.
Here four do's and three don'ts of changing to a concierge medicine practice:

Do's

•    Start with a business plan that outlines how your concierge medicine practice will be structured.
•    Communicate with your patients regarding the change and help them understand what this means for them.
•    Hire the team carefully.
•    Review your practice at least once a year to ensure that you are meeting your goals.

Don'ts

•    Don't use a 'boilerplate' or sample business plan.
•    Don't assume your patients will know what your new practice will be like.
•    Don't hire a consultant who does not have the experience to help you with the transition.
