3 Strategies to Prevent Patient "No-Shows"

There are several strategies physician practices from around the country are using to combat patients who schedule an appointment and don't show up, according to a Medscape News report.

The strategies mentioned in the article include:

•    Charging a $25 fee for "no-shows" and dropping the patient if they don't pay.
•    Calling to check on the patient after the first "no-show" and warning them of their dismissal from the practice if it happens again.
•    Reducing their visit allotted time to 15 minutes.
