10 states with the fastest expanding & diminishing populations

U.S. Census Bureau data showed the states with the most rapidly growing and shrinking populations between July 1, 2015 and July 1, 2016, according to Yahoo Finance!

Here are the five states with the fastest growing population rate based on percent population growth:

1.    Utah: 2.03
2.    Nevada: 1.95
3.    Idaho: 1.83
4.    Florida: 1.82
5.    Washington : 1.78

The following five states have the most rapidly diminishing population based on percent population growth rate:

1.    West Virginia: -0.54
2.    Connecticut: -0.23
3.    Wyoming: -0.18
4.    Rhoda Island: -0.08
5.    Pennsylvania: -0.06
