Here are the 10 best states in which to practice, according to Medscape's Best and Worst Places to Practice 2015 report.

1. Tennessee.
2. Mississippi.
3. Oklahoma.
4. Texas.
5. Wyoming.
6. Idaho.
7. South Carolina.
8. New Hampshire.
9. Nebraska.
10. Alaska.

 

For the report, Medscape researchers analyzed data on cost-of-living from the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center, malpractice payouts per capita from Diederich Healthcare, overall state and local tax burden from the Tax Foundation as well as physician compensation from the 2015 Medscape Physician Compensation Survey to determine the best places to practice.
