TriState Centers for Sight acquires MidWest EyeCenter — 6 things to know

TriState Centers for Sight purchased MidWest EyeCenter, according to a Cincinnati.com report.

Here are six key notes on the acquisition:

1. MidWest EyeCenter's several offices will join TriState's 14 locations in Cincinnati and Kentucky.

2. TriState will employ 20 of the physicians currently at MidWest EyeCenter who have expertise in cataract and refractive surgery, glaucoma, retina and cornea procedures.

3. The expanded capacity serves a larger area in greater Cincinnati for a comprehensive network of eye specialty care and surgery.

4. The acquisition adds an AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center and refractive laser vision center.

5. The managing partner role for MidWest EyeCenter will go to James Sanitato, MD.

6. The financial terms weren't disclosed.
