Rapid City, S.D., issued a building permit to an endoscopy center worth around $2.5 million, according to a KOTA TV report.
Here are five things to know about The Endoscopy Center:
1. The center includes colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy.
2. The physician-owned center was established in 1998 and is the only ambulatory surgery center within a 350-mile radius.
3. The ASC includes two procedure rooms and earned AAAHC accreditation and Medicare certification.
4. The surgery center has an electronic medical record system with convenient scheduling and discharge.
5. All physicians and registered nurses at the center are Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certified and the nurses are members of the Society for Gastrointestinal Nurses and Assistants.
