Huntington medical group, based in Long Island, was recently acquired by NYU Langone Medical Center.
Here are four quick facts:
1. Patients of both facilities will have access to the hospitals and ambulatory facilities.
2. The agreement allows medical providers at both locations to adopt new trends focusing on local ambulatory care rather than hospital-based care.
3. The acquisition was partly formed due to the increasing trend of New Jersey patients to seek care in New Jersey rather than New York.
4. NYU Langone acquired Lutheran Medical Center in April.
