Nobilis Q2 revenue up 29.2%, per case revenue tops $17k: 5 key points

Nobilis Health reported $80 million in 2017 second quarter revenue.

Here are five things to know:

1. Revenue increased 29.2 percent over the same period last year to reach $80 million. The net income attributable to Nobilis was $1.6 million for the quarter.

2. Year-over-year case volume decreased by 266 cases, or 5.5 percent. In the second quarter, Nobilis centers reported 4,597 cases. Despite the case volume drop, revenue per case increased 36.7 percent to $17,394 in the second quarter due to higher acuity cases and growth in the company's ancillary services after adding a vein business.

3. Adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter was $10.1 million, an 18.1 percent increase over the same period last year. The total cash at the end of the quarter reached $29.2 million and accounts receivable was $110.4 million.

4. As of June 30, Nobilis' total bank debt was $66.9 million. Net loss for the first six months of the year was $800,000, up from $200,000 over the same period last year.

5. Nobilis reiterated full year guidance, expecting revenue to reach $310 million to $325 million and adjusted EBITDA to hit $40 million to $45 million.
