New NY Surgery Center Under Consideration for Queens
Community leaders are considering a proposal for a development company to turn the vacant Rockaway Courthouse in Queens, N.Y. into an ambulatory surgery center, according to a New York Daily News report.
Uri Kaufman, president of development company the Harmony Group, told a local board and association about his plans to turn the 1932 building into an ASC.
The city recently issued a formal request for expressions of interest for the building and is hopeful to hear some additional proposals. Several past revival plans for the building have failed.
