Greensboro Specialty Surgery Center Seeks State Approval for $5M Expansion

Greensboro (N.C.) Specialty Surgery Center filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation for a $5 million expansion project, according to a report by The Business Journal.

The surgery center is currently 11,000-square-feet and includes three operating rooms and two endoscopy rooms. The CON calls for the addition of a procedure room and additional space. The project would involve the renovation of 2,659 square feet of existing space and the addition of 5,761 square feet.

If the CON is approved, the renovation and expansion is expected to reach completion by July 2015.

The expansion will also create five new job openings at the surgery center.
