Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Tenet break ground on $7M surgery center: 5 key points

Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.) and Tenet Healthcare have broken ground on a new outpatient surgery center, according to a Manteca Bulletin report. Here are five key points to know.

1. Tenet has invested $7 million in the project, according to the report. The project focuses on repurposing an existing building.

2. The 6,000-square-foot facility will house three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

3. The hospital's growth in outpatient procedures is a large factor behind the new center. Last year, the hospital performed 32,000 outpatient procedures, according to the report.

4. The center will be designed to create more space in the hospital's existing operating rooms and reduce the wait time for outpatient procedures.
