Colorado's Orthopaedic & Spine Center to Expand Surgery Center

The Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colo., has begun an expansion and remodeling of its Fort Collins facility, which will include renovation of the facility's surgery center, according to a Healthcare Global report.

The construction project is scheduled to take a year. The project callsf or an additional 11,200 square feet and a complete remodeling of the building, including patien exam rooms, lobbies, recovery center patient rooms, MRI center, and the therapy department gym and patient treatment rooms. The project will add 20 percent more space to the facility.

The practice includes 24 physicians: 18 orthopedic surgeons, two pediatrics and four primary care sports medicine specialists. The surgery center will close for two weeks in March 2013 during remodeling.
