Children's Health System of Texas in Dallas has partnered with James Andrews, MD, to establish an orthopedic and sports medicine clinic for student athletes and build an ambulatory surgery center in Plano, Texas, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News.
Through the partnership, Children's Health plans to open a 96,000-square-foot standalone ASC in Plano, which will include MRI, physical therapy and radiology services, as well as offices and athletic performance center. For the time being, the clinic will be housed in the existing Plano hospital, but the center is scheduled to be completed by 2016, according to the report.
