9 new ASCs and outpatient surgery centers in April 2016

Here are nine new ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient surgery centers that were opened or announced in April 2016.

The Orthopaedic Institute for Children in Los Angeles cut the ribbon for its new ambulatory surgery center with two operating rooms and six pre- and postsurgical suites.

University of Florida Health in Gainesville opened an $11 million pediatric outpatient surgical center.

A group of surgeons in Georgia opened Albany Surgical, an outpatient surgery center.

San Jose, Calif.-based Tri-County Vascular Center opened a 5,800-square-foot ASC.

Stamford (Conn.) ASC, affiliated with the surgeons from Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists, opened and is now treating orthopedic, neurosurgery and interventional pain patients.

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network dedicated a new pediatric ambulatory surgery center, the J.B. and Kathleen Reilly Children's Surgery Center.

The University of Michigan Health System detailed plans to construct an ASC that would house a small area for patients requiring a 23-hour stay.

Roscoe, Ill.-based Northpointe Health and Wellness is building a multi-million dollar expansion including a new ambulatory surgery and treatment center.

The state of New York gave John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo approval for an ASC, and construction on the $18.1 million facility is underway.
