9 ASCs announced in January

Here are nine ASCs that opened or broke ground over the past month or so.

Centralia, Ill.-based St. Mary's Hospital held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its orthopedic surgery center. Craig Beyer, MD, will join the surgery center in an effort to expand medical services in the region.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners is opening a surgery center in Beverly Hills, Calif., which will offer ophthalmology services.

Lincoln, Neb.-based Bryan Medical Center will soon house an ASC. The ASC will feature six outpatient surgical suites and will have ample space for expansion.

Frontier Healthcare Holdings and Liberty Endoscopy Center partnered to open a gastroenterology-facing ASC in New York, where the two companies are located.

A year-long process will come to a close for the Athens (Ala.)-Limestone Hospital with the groundbreaking of its $25 million surgery center.

Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care is building a new $130 million facility, which will house an ASC and an office building in Kenosha, Wis. The ASC will be one story, while the office building will be three stories.

Vero Orthopaedics & Neurology in Vero Beach, Fla., opened an ASC. The ASC will include treatment for spine, elbow, knee, foot, ankle, hand, shoulder and wrist surgery. The facility will also include sports medicine and interventional pain management.

The new Lancaster Specialty Surgery Center opened its doors. The surgery center will mainly offer orthopedic services, including outpatient total joint procedures.

The Everett Clinic is opening a new surgery center and urgent care walk-in clinic in Edmonds, Wash. The project will cost $10 million.
