6 Recent Ambulatory Surgery Center Plans, Openings & Expansions

Hand ShakeHere are six ambulatory surgery centers that have recently opened, expanded or been announced as upcoming projects.

La Peer Health Systems, an outpatient surgery center based in Beverly Hill, Calif., recently opened the Foot and Ankle Surgery Center of Excellence in Los Angeles.

Monticello Community Surgery Center is expected to open in Charlottesville, Va., next month. The center will have four operating rooms and host cases performed by 45 surgeons.

Janet Neigel, MD, a plastic surgeon and board-certified ophthalmologists, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 7,700-square-foot Neigel Center for Cosmetic and Laser Surgery in West Orange, N.J.

Prescott (Ariz.) Vision & Eye Surgery Center has added an office on the Yavapai Regional Medical Center East Campus.

Surgical Center of Greensboro (N.C.) has earned conditional approval from state regulators for a $23 million facility that would consolidate two locations. The surgery center is affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates.

Williamson Surgery Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in early January. The multispecialty ASC is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International.
