5 things to know about St. Mary's new $10M outpatient facility

St. Mary's plans to build a $10 million outpatient facility, called Westside Crossing, to serve community members in Evansville, Ind., according to Courier & Press.

Here are five things to know:

1. Westside Crossing will be modeled after Epworth Crossing located in Newburgh, Ind.

2. The facility is expected to be built within 12 months and existing staff of St. Mary's will move to Westside Crossing.

3. The outpatient center will have ample room for eight primary care physicians.

4. Services offered at the facility include urgent care, occupational medicine services and drug screenings in addition to imaging services such as CT scans, x-rays and ultrasounds.

5. Gwen Sandefur, St. Mary's COO, stated Westside's opening is indicative of the community's aim of moving patients to ambulatory centers close to developments on the East side, North side and West side.
