Orland Park trustees gave approval for plans to build the new University of Chicago Medicine building in the village's downtown area, according to the Chicago Tribune.

1. The University of Chicago Medicine — Center for Advanced Care will be approximately 110,000-square-feet.

2. A few adjustments will be made to the tower at the building's southeast corner, raising its height from 70 feet to 78 feet.

3. Additional changes include using buff-colored bricks matching those used on a different part of the building and top the tower with metal screening, which can be lit at night.

4. Trustee John Dodge claimed the additional height and lighting from the metal screening will make the building stand out.

5. Mr. Dodge was a key facilitator in pushing forward the changes for the building. He stated it is pertinent for trustees to get involved when there is a project this important.
