5 Recent Orthopedic-Driven ASC Openings, Plans & Expansions

Here are five orthopedic-driven ambulatory surgery centers that have opened, been announced or expanded within the past month.

La Peer Health Systems, an outpatient surgery center based in Beverly Hills, Calif., announced the addition of a Foot and Ankle Surgery Center of Excellence. Kamran Jamshidinia, DPM, FACFAS, leads the new center in Los Angeles

Lehigh Valley Health Network has opened its LVHN Surgical Center, an outpatient orthopedic surgery center, at the former Westfield Hospital in South Whitehall Township, Pa. The center has three operating rooms, two procedure rooms and two recovery rooms.

Massac Memorial Hospital and the Orthopedic Institute of Western Kentucky have partnered to open an outpatient orthopedic and podiatric surgery center in Metropolis, Ill., by the end of the year.

Orthopedic Associates plans to open a 9,200-square-foot surgery center in Honolulu. The new center, Minimally Invasive Surgery Hawaii, will include three operating rooms.

The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group has expanded the number of operating rooms at its ambulatory surgery center. The ASC now has eight ORs and two treatment rooms.
