St. Jude Medical Wins $27M in Patent Infringement Decision Against Access Closure

Judge Harry Barnes of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas found Access Closure infringed on four St. Jude patent claims and awarded St. Jude $27.1 million in damages for two of the claims, according to a MassDevice report.

Judge Barnes still needs to calculate damages for the other two claims but ruled in favor of Access on four other claims of patent infringement for over technologies used to close holes in arteries.
