Online Medical Supply Market to Grow 10.3% in 2012
The online medical supply market is expected to grow 10.3 percent in the period 2011-2012 and increase to a growth rate of 11 percent through 2017, according to an IBISWorld industry report.
The growth of e-commerce, shift from brick-and-mortar stores to online retailers and an aging population have contributed to industry growth, the report said. These trends are expected to continue during the next five years. The report named Allegro Medical, Medexline, Medex Supply and Medical Supply Depot as top online retailers.
