Olympus Launches Two New Endoscopes for Bronchoscopy

Olympus, a technology company focused on diagnostic and therapeutic solutions in medical and surgical procedures, launched its 510(k)-cleared BF-P190 and BF-XP190 bronchoscopes for peripheral and small anatomy bronchoscopy.

The BF-P190 is designed to extend the reach of peripheral bronchoscopy. The BF-X190 is designed to advance visualization in small anatomy bronchoscopy.

Both BF-190 broncoscopes are powered by the EVIS EXERA III Universal Platform. Key features of the scopes include:

•    Rotary function. Insertion tube of up to 120 degrees left and right is designed to reduce hand torque by up to 82 percent.
•    210 degrees tip angulation. Wide angulation allows for access to difficult-to-reach peripheral areas of the lungs.
•    SDTV Imaging. SDTV offers high quality imaging.
•    EVIS EXERA III Universal Platform. Imaging system facilitates accurate diagnosis and treatment, as well as simplifying set up and reprocessing.
