Medline Industries announced it has received the 2013 Annual Award for Business Excellence in the family business category from The Daily Herald Business Ledger.
The 23rd annual awards recognize suburban Chicago businesses and non-profit organizations for "business achievement, growth and community involvement," according to the news release.
Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies in the U.S. The company has more than 2,400 employees in Illinois and 9,000 worldwide.
