Health Inventures, a surgical and physician services company based in Westminster, Colo., selected Medline Industries as its primary vendor distribution partner for medical and surgical supplies, according to a release.
The five-year agreement for distribution services is expected to save Health Inventures more than $2 million per year in medical supply costs by driving distribution efficiencies over the term of the agreement.
Medline will provide its broad array of national brand medical and surgical products directly to Health Inventures' network of ambulatory surgical centers, sleep centers and physicians practices located throughout the United States from its 35 distribution centers located throughout the country. The agreement is expected to be worth approximately $90 million over the course of the deal.
"We selected Medline as our distribution partner because of their ability to provide distribution and valuable cost management services to our entire network," said Dan Hamilton, vice president, supply chain management. "Through their self-manufactured products and distribution efficiencies, Medline is helping to drive down costs and improve our services, which will ultimately enhance our quality of care."
