Construction to Begin on Surgical Center in Fredericksburg, Va.
Following a ceremonial groundbreaking, construction is set to begin next month on a new surgical center in Fredericksburg, Va., according to a story in The Free Lance-Star.
The new Surgi-Center of Central Virginia, co-owned by United Surgical Partners International and a dozen local doctors, is moving to a larger building. The project is expected to cost $4.7 million and to be completed late next year, according to the report.
Of the 10,150 procedures performed by surgeons at the center last year, most were done by gastroenterologists or ophthalmologists. Two physician groups, Rappahannock Gastroenterology Associates and Fredericksburg Foot & Ankle Center, will also move to the new location.
