The CDC offers a free, downloadable guideline for treatment of upper respiratory tract infections.
The guideline, titled Adult Appropriate Antibiotic Use Summary, can be used in small group or one-on-one educational sessions. This resource has been used by other healthcare organizations to help education physicians on proper antibiotic use. The target audience for this educational resource includes infection control professionals, physicians, nurses, physician assistant and others.
