Patient Safety Tool: Personalized Hospital Infection Prevention Poster
The Johns Hopkins Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care provides a free, downloadable and adaptable poster template focused on preventing hospital infections.
The poster provides an open space where the photo of a team member can be placed. Above the photo, the poster reads, "You can count on me to take 5 steps" and below the photo it reads "to help WIPE out hospital infections."
WIPE is an acronym that addresses these five steps (the full acronym is WIPES), including "wash/clean hands" and "precaution taking;" the acronym is spelled out at the bottom of the poster.
Download the poster template (doc) for adaptation and use in your facility.
