Olympus names ProVation MD as recommended EndoWorks replacement: 4 key notes

Wolters Kluwer's ProVation MD software was named by Olympus as one of its recommended replacements for EndoWorks, which is being retired, according to a release.

Here are four things to know:

1. Wolters Kluwer worked directly with Olympus on a methodology to migrate data from EndoWorks to ProVation MD.

2. EndoWorks will be phased out over three years.

3. ProVation MD claims to allow physicians to capture detailed and complex procedures. It will also automatically apply the reimbursement codes.

4. Wolters Kluwer, a Netherlands-based information services company, has experience in GI documentation, as well as data management for hospitals, surgery centers and GI practices.
