Kadlec outpatient clinics in Richland, Wash., are under fire after the Join Commission found safety issues, according to NBC Right Now.
Here are five things to know:
1. The Join Commission found that equipment was sanitized before washing as opposed to washing before sanitizing, which is standard procedure.
2. Although no patient safety concerns were found at the Kadlec main hospital, the Joint Commission put the hospital's accreditation under review.
3. Kadlec officials said that no patients should be affected by the inadequate process.
4. In response to the investigation, Kadlec asked the Department of Health to help sort out the safety issues.
5. Kadlec and Department of Health officials said they will work to fix the issue in a few days.
