Dr. Brian Kendall named to South Carolina hospital safety council: 5 points

South Carolina Hospital Association's Quality Advisory Council appointed Brian W. Kendall, MD, to its panel, according to The Times and Democrat.

Here are five points:

1. Dr. Kendall serves as chief quality and safety officer at Orangeburg, S.C.-based Regional Medical Center.

2. The advisory council offers advice for South Carolina hospitals to enhance patient safety.

3. An internal medicine and pediatric specialist, Dr. Kendall is committed to patient safety and received the SCHA Lewis Blackman Safety Champion Award's Caregiver Award.

4. He serves on Regional Medical Center's critical care improvement team and clinical alarms committee.

5. Dr. Kendall completed his residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago.
