The Capital Development Authority Chairman Maroof Afzal recently called for the CDA to take all necessary preventative measures to fight the growing threats posed by the dengue virus, according to The News.
Here are five notes:
1. A meeting was held to discuss preventive measures at CDA headquarters.
2. Director General Administration and senior officers of concerned formations of the Authority attended the meeting.
3. Additionally, a representative of the Islamabad City administration and Rawalpindi Health Department participated in the meeting.
4. The CDA is working with other organizations to devise a comprehensive strategy to fight the dengue virus.
5. Preventative measures include an awareness campaign and spraying at possible breeding locations of dengue larva and its growth.
