CMS has announced 98 percent of ambulatory surgery centers participating in the Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality Reporting Program have met the program's requirements and will receive a full annual payment update for the 2014 calendar year.
The full annual payment update for 2014 will be 1.8 percent.
ASCs that did not meet the ASCQR requirements will experience a 2 percent reduction in annual payments for calendar year 2014. CMS will accept ASCQR reconsideration request forms submitted to the support contractor until March 17, 2014.
