ASC Industry Leader to Know: Dale Rothenberg of DoctorsManagement
Dale Rothenberg is executive vice president and partner with DoctorsManagement, a medical management consulting firm based in Knoxville, Tenn. He specializes in medical practice start-up and consulting.
Formerly a chartered financial consultant, Mr. Rothenberg brings 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has also served as an instructor in the Continuing Medical Education program at the University of Kentucky and at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program at Lincoln Memorial University.
Mr. Rothenberg discussed physician recruitment strategies in an interview with Becker's ASC Review. Patient testimonials are often an effective way to communicate the efficiency and quality of the ASC to potential physician partners, he said. "You could approach some of the physicians to nominate patients to talk about their experience — it's pretty easy to get testimonials from patients when they've had a 'wow' experience," he said. In addition to discussing the quality of medical care, he said patients can also highlight any administrative or logistical factors, such as convenient parking, few stairs required to access the center, elevator access and online preregistration.
