6 Recent Surgery Center Industry Leadership Moves

Here are six recent leadership moves at ambulatory surgery centers and within the ASC industry.

Tony German became the executive director of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society in January 2013. Prior to his current role, Mr. German served as administrator and ethics compliance officer for North Austin Surgery Center.

Chase Mearian has served as administrator of the North Valley Outpatient Surgery Center in Phoenix for six months. Previously, he served as the CEO, executive director and practice administrator of Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialists.

Margaret Orman has served as an Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care surveyor for just under a year. She also became a consultant with Healthcare Consultants International nearly two years ago. Her previous experience includes vice president of operations at Reliant Health Care Partners.

HCA has announced that William B. Rutherford will step into the roles of CFO and Executive Vice President of the company, effective Jan. 1, 2014. Mr. Rutherford currently serves as CCO of HCA's Physician Services Group. He has previously served as HCA's CFO of the Outpatient Services Group.

Meridian Surgical Partners announced that John C. Wilson, Jr. has been appointed the role of chief executive officer and Jim Uden has assumed the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer.
