6 Recent ASC Industry Leadership Changes

Here are six recent leadership moves within the ambulatory surgery center industry.

Buddy Bacon, formerly the CEO of Meridian Surgical Partners, has been named the CEO of MediTract, a large healthcare contract management company. Mr. Bacon cofounded Meridian Surgical Partners.

Vivere Health, which builds and manages multispecialty ambulatory surgery centers and laboratories for comprehensive reproductive health, has announced the addition of Dan Beuerlein as chief development officer and executive vice president of operations.

Frank Chapman, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care treasurer, recently stepped into the role of chief operating officer for the Ohio Gastroenterology Group. Mr. Chapman also serves on the Institute for Quality Improvement board of directors and as vice chair of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy practice management committee.

LoAnn Vande Leest has served as the CEO of Northwest Michigan Surgery Center for almost a year. Previously, she served as administrator of The Surgery Center in Franklin, Wis. She is also an AAAHC surveyor.

Debbie James has been named the president and CEO of Vivere Health, which builds and manages multispecialty ambulatory surgery centers and laboratories for comprehensive reproductive health.

Marcus Williamson recently became the senior director of operations at Southwind – The Advisory Board Company, which focuses on bringing physicians, health systems and payers together to improve healthcare. Previously, Mr. Williamson served as the president of the spine division, product line research and development at Symbion Healthcare.
