5 Recent ASC Industry Leadership Moves & Honors

Here are five recent ambulatory surgery center leaders that have taken on new roles or honors.

Liza Capiendo, MD, a colorectal and general surgeon with La Peer Health Systems, has been named the Clinical Chief of the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Surgical Care Affiliates President and CEO Andrew Hayek has been named to the Aspen Institute's 2014 Class of Henry Crown Fellows.

Gregory Horner, MD, has served on the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association board of directors for a little more than a year. He also serves on the California Ambulatory Surgery Association board of directors.

Rodney Neaveill recently became the director of marketing and business development at FOAA Anesthesia Services, a division of North American Partners in Anesthesia.

Thomas Newman, chief operating officer of Foundation Healthcare, has recently taken on the additional role of executive vice president.
