An exciting opportunity exists as the Director of Reimbursement/Managed Care Contracting for Surgical Management Professionals (SMP). SMP is an organization of healthcare executives and physicians who have created a successful ambulatory surgical center/specialty hospital model.
The Director of Reimbursement/Managed Care Contracting takes an active role in all the aspects of the revenue cycle management including the analysis and negotiating of managed care contracting. The position will provide on going reimbursement expertise to existing SMP contracts and sites.
Skills required:
- Experience in managing a billing and coding department including collections
- Knowledge in areas of CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCs coding for both facility and professional services
- Managed care contracting experience
- Knowledge of payers, third party collections, regulatory compliance, and cash applications/postings
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Professional attitude
