Job Opening: Surgical Care Affiliates Seeks Group Director of Clinical Services for Southern California

Surgical Care Affiliates is seeking a group director of clinical services for Southern California.

 

Dual reporting structure: Directly reports to the SCA Clinical Department lead. Works in concert with the SVPs for the Southern California Operations Groups.

 

Requirements: Licensed Registered Nurse with training and experience in working in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) industry and with ASC operations.

 

Essential Requirements of Group Director

Work in concert with SVP, Regional Vice Presidents (RVP), Regional Quality Coordinators, and SCA Clinical Department to develop and implement the SCA strategic clinical-quality plan; possess excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of standards, survey methodology and related tools and resources for regulatory and accreditation readiness; regularly access internal and external resources to maintain professional knowledge base.

 

Provide collaboration and mentorship to centers in SVP region per identified needs regarding clinical and quality programs, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements and safety initiatives supporting the mission, vision, and values of SCA.

 

Provide consultative services to centers in region for accreditation and regulatory survey preparation and activities; assist centers in region with coordinating the collection of accreditation standards compliance data and, as applicable, development of action plans required by identified accreditation organizations; assist centers with other associated survey activities.

 

Monitor, analyze and communicate to centers regarding activities, trends, results and recommendations related to quality, accreditation, and regulatory activities and findings. Ensure and support Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) & Allied Health Professional (AHP) credentialing policies and procedures and processes.

 

Ensure and support compliance with human resource file management for center and contract personnel including annual evaluations, competencies and training requirements. Ensure compliance of center Environment of Care Safety Plan and center education and training plan.

 

Work closely with center leadership, regional vice presidents, and SVP to support achievement of operational goals and objectives. Ensure coordination and communication of clinical-quality initiatives with SVP, RVP and SCA Quality Management Department.
