Job Opening: Seeking Vice President, Business Development for Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Opportunity

Largest provider of management outsourcing services to acute care hospitals seeks a vice president, business development for ambulatory surgery centers. This leader will serve as the primary liaison between corporate and potential ASC clients. Position will support all new ASC client sales efforts in the assigned geographic territory. Responsible for the development of a business plan and sales strategies to acquire new ASC clients and revenue in assigned territory. Interacts on a daily basis with various levels within potential client organizations. Provides sales leadership, business development acumen and conceptual marketing strategies to, and coordinates the activities of, multiple professionals and content experts towards the goal of identifying client needs and expectations, aligning appropriate resources, creating an appropriate proposal to address client needs and contract finalization. Maintains up-to-date information, activities and next steps for leads and opportunities in the assigned territory via CRM software.

 

Scope of Position

  • Ability to effectively interact with client board of directors, senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Utilizes consultative selling skills to gain meaningful insight to advance opportunities.
  • Ability to identify compelling events towards advancement of sale and articulate company's unique business value to address client needs.
  • Effectively works within team environment, with ability to identify key internal resources to address client needs.
  • Creative, enthusiasm, willingness to travel.
  • Some experience with hospital operations and/or ASC operations preferable:
    • 5-10 years of successful conceptual healthcare related sales experience preferably in the sales of advisory/outsourcing/acquisition agreements.
    • Strong process and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in the development of business/marketing plans for advisory and outsourcing agreements.
    • ASC or Healthcare operations experience a plus.
    • Extensive travel required.
