Wolverines partner with Vivature medical billing

The Utah Valley University Athletics Department has shored up a partnership with the software company Vivature this week.

"Vivature is on the cutting edge of current healthcare management systems. Their seamless billing solutions and electronic medical records platform will provide an ongoing revenue stream that will be reinvested back into our sports medicine facilities," said Jared Sumsion, MD, UVU senior associate athletic director, told the school's newspaper.

The partnership between UVU and the Dallas-based software company surpasses $60,000 over the next year.

The university's sports medicine began utilizing the Vivature software over a year ago to track injuries of its students.

Vivature serves more than 300 universities across the U.S., providing a full medical billing service for campus health centers and athletic departments.

"We are delighted to partner with an innovative industry leader who, along with our dedicated healthcare doctors and UVU athletic trainers, focus on the quality of care our student-athletes receive," said Dr. Sumsion.
