States are implementing healthcare policies to help curb costs — 3 things to know

A Center for American Progress report suggests states could implement policies to control healthcare costs and improve the quality of care, as reported by Healthcare DIVE.

Here are three things to know:

1. Maryland and Massachusetts are among the states that have been active in implementing cost control reforms.

2. Arkansas, Tennessee, Ohio and Delaware have implemented bundled payments for all payers.

3. California, Maryland, Montana, Oregon, Texas and Missouri have improved long-term care delivery by focusing more on home and community-based services.
