Michael Murphy, CEO of Coventry Health Care of Kansas, assured attendees at the hearing that Coventry would honor all 2010 contracts made by PHS, including agreements with Wichita area hospitals Galichia Heart Hospital, Via Christi Regional Medical Center and Wesley Medical Center.

According to the report, no changes in PHS management had been confirmed, but it was believed that Brad Clothier will remain as CEO.

Via Christi, the parent company of PHS, and Coventry said in the report that the merger would create a stronger insurance company for the region, according to the report.
